The mission of Boles Independent School District is to provide an

educational environment which all students can learn and acquire the

skills to be productive citizens.

Your interest in a professional career with Boles Independent School District

is appreciated.  Our district has long been recognized for its emphasis on

instructional excellence but always within the student’s limit of

understanding and rate of cognitive development.  Boles ISD strives to

provide daily experiences that foster an appreciation of individual rights,

privileges, obligations, and responsibilities as a member of society.

The district is composed of three schools which are elementary (Pre-K

through 4) , middle school (5 through 8) and high school (9 through 12).

All three campuses are situated at one location.  The elementary school

has approximately 174 students.  The middle school has about 159 students

and the high school has approximately 174 students.  The majority of students

are transfers from various area school districts, while approximately 100

students reside within our district.  The district has experienced a large

student population increase over the last several years. In 1996, the Gena Mae

Wishard Building was opened (a 45,000 sq. ft. H.S. complex). Then in 2002, the

Johnny Mailes Building (a 20,000 sq. ft. middle school facility) was opened

to accommodate this growth.  In 2007, the 16,000 sq. ft. gymnasium was

constructed.  The gymnasium was named in honor of Robert Boyd, a longtime

board member.

The campus has Fiber Optic Networking allowing access to the Internet and the

capability to extend that service to the Boles Children’s Home.  Thus, the

community is linked to the school via fiber.  Also, the district offers distance

education courses and training through Region X Educational Service Center.

The district is linked directly via T-1 to Texas A&M – Commerce and several

other school districts through ET-LINC.
